The inside camera area allows you to adjust the size of the 3 pouches, so it will be able to fit your camcorder or however else you want to use it. The bag is thick enough to ensure great protection. It has enough space to fill in your necessities. In mine, I have my camera (canon vixia hv40), 2 lenses, a car charger, the camera manual, lens cleaning cloths, 2 tapes, a firewire cable; and with plenty of room to spare. Very easy to keep things organized with the bag (and I'm an organization freak).
