(More customer reviews)I got this camera at Christmas specifically so that my husband could take it in the water while surfing or in the snow while skiing. Worked fine in the snow, but my sister took it to Hawaii and with the first underwater pic, the whole camera filled with water and broke down completely. She took it to a pro photographer who told her that it was missing a gasket (she told my sister that this is a common problem w/waterproof cameras!)
Also, when considering purchasing this camera you should know that it takes jpeg video just as a regular basic digital camera does. It is not DV quality; I don't know if this quality can be downloaded to youtube, etc. The only feature to distinguish this camera from a cheap (no zoom or flash) digital camera is the waterproof quality, which, in this case, bombed. The only reason I gave this product one star is that 0 stars is not an option!
