(More customer reviews)I am writing this review primarily as counterpoint to another reviewer's inaccurate claim that "this bag can't hold even the smallest tripod on the market". Had I listened to this reviewer, I may have missed one of my favorite purchases this year! (Absolutely FIVE STARS!) There are a number of tripods that this compact bag will readily accomodate (and I'll mention a few suggestions momentarily).
Note that Manfrotto made this bag specifically for its 785 Modo Maxi Tripod:

...and it fits that tripod PERFECTLY with room to spare. In fact, I can fit the tripod, my camera (and its LowePro Geneva case), my cell phone, my wallet, battery charger, batteries, cables, and more. Yet, the bag is lightweight, very comfortable, well-made and exceptionally stylish. (I have received compliments and I've been asked where I purchased the bag... and Manfrotto tripod!)
The bag has a web pocket for a cell phone mounted on the left shoulder strap, two web side pockets, and three zippered enclosed "compartments" (including the tripod compartment). A heavy duty plastic mount (for carabiners) is located on the right shoulder strap. The top includes a padded carry handle.
The bag's INTERIOR dimensions "seam to seam" are 22" high and 6" wide. However, because the zippered top forms a "hood" I would use it ONLY with COMPACT tripods that collapse to 20" OR LESS (otherwise it might be difficult to pull the zippered hood over the top of your tripod). Here are just a few EXAMPLES of tripods that would partner well with the 785BAG:

* Gitzo Traveler (14" collapsed)

If you have a Manfrotto Modo Maxi Tripod, this is a MUST HAVE! You will love it! If you have any other tripod, please measure your tripod's collapsed height BEFORE you buy (to avoid unecessary disappointment).
