This case is great for something like that, or for carrying around your compact video camera. The camera carrying space dimensions are 6x4x3", so if your video camera falls into that, it will fit snuggly in the case, nestled in the hammock and be safe on any journey.
I personally love this carrying case because of it's size. If I'm given too much space, I'll overload it. This forces me to carry the essentials without shoving extra unneeded items in it. Very manageable and unobtrusive. It doesn't fit my SLR camera(though caselogic makes some stellar ones specifically for SLRs), but I used it more to show you the size of the bag, since most have a good idea of the size of an SLR. This bag is great for neatly tucking in my Flip camera, canon powershot and all the little odds and ends that go with them. I love the waterproof EVA bottom, because I'm a klutz.
I'm definitely becoming a huge fan of caselogic because they're coming out with some interesting, innovative designs for various uses. This camera bag will be a great addition to any gadget lover's closet.
