Since it has two zipup pockets -one for the camera alone it is easy to remove the camera without disturbing the storage pocket which I use for exrta memory, battery, and a mini tripod. I use a neck strap to carry it around but could put it in my pocket if desired. The only improvement in the design may be a belt strap, but for cases of my other cameras I find that I dont use a belt strap feature anyways. P.S. very pleased with the Zi8 camera and no longer lug around my full size video camera.
