The Canon lenses for the VIXIA H SF-200 have an MSRP of $300+. I thought this kit would be an affordable alternative. It might be affordable, but it is no alternative, unfortunately. Just tried the lenses out today, and they completely ruin the quality of the Canon lens inside my camera. The lens hood does not fit properly and shadows the lens producing permanent black shadows on the images. When I put either the wide angle or telephoto on, images are not clear like they usually are but blurry. Furthermore, the telephoto produces a permanent black ring around the image from the lens being of poor quality.
Instead of wasting money on this kit, I would just put it toward the purchase price of one of the Canon lens.
