First, consider the price on this thing -- $15 ... for that much money I was really not expecting all that much.
That said, it can hold up my Canon 5dm2 and lens just fine (I tested with my lighter lenses such as the 35mm f/1.4L) I haven't yet tested it with a heavy lens like the 70-200 f/2.8L IS.
It's adjustable in many different angles, and has a quickrelease similar to what you get on a Bogen/Manfrotto full-size tripod (though it's not compatible).
It's very lightweight and easy to carry in a small camerabag.
The complaints:
Due to it's size and light weight, it doesn't have much of it's own stability. You do need to be careful to consider using a remote shutter release, and possibly mirror lock-up to avoid shaking the camera during shutter release.
It's suction cup on the center piece does not really have a very good seal, so it won't really get much of a grip on anything other than say a glass table, or marble/granite counters/floors. Don't think you're going to stick this to a window at a 90 degree angle.
The extension you get from extending the three legs of the tripod is very minimal due to the extreme angle of the legs, maybe adding 1-2 inches. Personally, I mostly plan on using this for low-angle shots anyway, and if I expect to need a tall tripod, I'll just bring my carbon fiber full-size tripod.
