(More customer reviews)I researched several camera bags for my new Panasonic Lumix FZ35. My preference was for a top-loading bag for easy, quick access to the camera - because I just hate missing a good shot. I also wanted a case that had enough storage compartments for the important accessories. The inside main compartment is roughly 5.5 x 6.5 x 3.5 and the outside dimensions are approximately 7.25" H x 9.0" W x 3.75" D. This is a Case Logic bag - Model PSL 46.
The color of camera bag I received was dark blue (not the purple shade shown here) and it does fit my FZ35. I place the camera in on its side so I can grab it quickly if needed.
I was able to add the battery with charger to one side of the inside divider next to the camera and tuck the cleaning cloth inside the zippered compartment in the lid of the case. The 2 side-zip pockets held my lens filters in their plastic cases. There's another zippered compartment on the back of the bag where I can store the camera usb cable.
I tried putting the camera with installed lens hood inside the bag - and it will have to go in face down this time. It's a tight fit but workable. The fit was better when I placed the detached hood, flared tulip end down, next to the side-seated camera. I'm considering buying a rubber lens hood to reduce the bulkiness.
This bag has a moderate amount of padding. There's a cardboard insert bottom but I lined the bottom of the main compartment with cushioning material for added protection. I wish the zippers were a bit smoother to pull but otherwise they work fine. It's an attractive bag but does look smaller than in the pictures here. I purchased this from Accessory Genie and they're a good vendor - shipped promptly and the camera case arrived new and free of defects.
